Ancich Family

spokane, wa photographer | family photo session

This family portrait session was special for so many reasons! Pamela won this photo session with me at the Washington State Patrol Memorial silent auction. The proceeds from the auction go to help pay for the college education of our fallen officers' children and their spouses. I was super nervous when donating...would anyone want to bid on a photo session!? Luckily they did and because of that I got to help donate to a wonderful cause, meet some amazingly kind people, and give them timeless memories that they can look back on for years to come. Another few reasons to add to my list of why I love being a portrait and wedding photographer in the Tacoma Washington area!

Pamela and her family wanted to have their session at the Ancich Waterfront Park. This park was named after their family as it had been once owned by their family for 80+ years. The original netshed is still in place at the park. The Ancich netshed and its simple form, materials, and scale represents a typical netshed in Gig Harbor and is one of a cluster of five historic sheds along this section of working waterfront.

Pamela was joined by her husband, twin sister, mom, dad, and family pup named Duke! They wanted to include some University of Washington Husky gear, so fun! Their family has been attending UW football games together for 40 years! Such a great tradition that I can tell that they hold near to their hearts.

I loved seeing how much history, tradition, and family meant to this group of individuals. We even re-enacted a photo of Pamela and Andrea from when they were little girls rocking their University of Washington Husky gear! Thank you Ancich family for allowing me to capture some memories for you <3

I hope to continue to donate my photography services to be auctioned off at the Washington State Patrol Memorial silent auction each year! If you have it in your heart to donate a good/service or you would like to attend the event, you can find all the information you would need at the WSP Memorial Foundation website.
